Nanooooh
Biography
Jackson Xu (b. 1998), working under the name Nanooooh, is an artist using code to create dynamic images, experimental visuals, and interactive installations. His practice combines computation, real-time simulation, and photogrammetry to explore plants, natural systems, and invisible forces within living networks. By scanning real-world botanical forms and amplifying overlooked details, he brings energy flows and hidden relationships into view, working at the boundary where digital matter takes on organic qualities.
His work spans interactive installations and real-time visual systems for exhibitions, cultural institutions, brands, and live performance contexts. Clients include LEGO, ASICS, and Burberry, and his work has been presented at SAT Festival Montréal, the 10th Shenzhen-Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture, Tianjin K11 Select, Shanghai Zhenghao Art Museum, and exhibitions across China.
